Through the wonders of technology (i.e. Skype) this morning, we heard from Tim Lukasewich of the Lakeshore Charitable Foundation.  A non-Rotarian,  Tim spoke of the efforts with the Toronto-area Rotary clubs to help create proper drainage for the BayBay Elementary School in the Philippines.

Deluged by flooding during the rainy season, this school has been an unhealthy home for its students.  Monies have been raised and concrete culverts have been dug to solve this problem.  In addition, classrooms have been renovated, a new roof and lights have been installed.  The school now has a breakfast club, a marching band (they're important in the Philippines), a garden, and a printer for each classroom.

Again, Rotarians are doing wonderful things to improve the lives of children in all parts of the world.  Thank you for informing us about these excellent efforts!
