Curl for Kids, rocked again at the Quinte Curling Club on Saturday, February 1st, 2020.  This annual event is one of our Club's longest running and most successful fundraisers.  This year, the event attracted 12 teams.  With the addition of 50/50 revenue and other donations on the day, the total raised was just over 7,500... with a profit of over $7,000.00.

Teams and volunteers enjoyed a hot chili lunch prepared, by Chef, Dorothy Fletcher, with help from Katie Cudmore.  Donations for meat from Bib's Meats, beans from Sprague Foods and cheese from Maple Dale Cheese, kept our food costs down, and did the donation of wonderful baked goods from Rotary Club members.

There was lots of fun on the ice, with Club members, partners and friends who are experienced curlers helping to ensure that our novice curlers on the teams were safe and enjoyed.the games.  To keep the fun going, there were draw prizes for participants, donated by area businesses and Club members.  The Club would like to thank the following businesses who donated prizes: the Belleville Senators, Medigas Belleville, the Empire Theatre, Allan's Auto Repair, Diamond Physiotherapy, Studio 237, Collangelo U Vint Wine, BMO, Earl and Angelo's Restaurant, Marc Ray - National Golf Academy.

We were happy to be joined by Carrie Arnold from Camp Trillium, who provided an update on Camp Trillium for the participants, and thanked the Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise for its more than $120,000 in donations to Camp Trillium over the years.
